Take a Jia Wood Day Master as an example:

• Jia meets Ren → Indirect Seal (Water generates Wood; both are yang)

Indirect Seal also goes by 枭神 (Owl Spirit) — the ancients considered the owl an ill-omened bird — and it remains one of the most complex stars in all of BaZi.

Indirect Seal Seizing Food (the Worst Combination)

Indirect Seal Seizing Food = Indirect Seal + Food God

• Indirect Seal restrains and overpowers Food God

❌ "Indirect Seal is always bad luck." It carries real talent in esoteric fields, and paired with Food God it can produce genuine brilliance. ❌ "Indirect Seal represents your mother." Direct Seal is the mother; Indirect Seal is the stepmother or non-biological mother figure. ❌ "Indirect Seal can't coexist with wealth." When Owl Spirit meets wealth, it can actually form a viable pattern — the wealth breaks the Seizing Food trap.
